Five Towns Theatre was formed in 2002 and has grown rapidly
over the last 8 years.
With
an initial membership consisting of 5 members of its
Management Committee, 14 performers and no starting
budget the group decided to stage a musical review entitled
Raise The Roof which raised enough money
for them to tackle
a small, low budget musical.
Since then the group has received grant funding
from
'Awards 4 All', Staffordshire Foundation and the Stoke on Trent
City Council 'Arts Development
Fund' which has enabled them
to produce shows such as 'Fame the Musical', 'Children of Eden',
'Bugsy Malone' and the Midlands Amateur Premiere of Disney's
Smash Hit 'High School Musical'.
The group is preparing to perform The Wedding Singer! which
is to be performed in November
2010.
